Chief Executive Officer

Wes Walker

Wes is Veregy’s CEO, strategically leading the organization to new cultural, growth, and productivity horizons in engineering, energy savings, sustainability, technology, and distributed energy resources. Under his leadership, Veregy is poised to set unprecedented records in the ESCO industry and is focused on accelerating the energy transition in the United States.

Wes has over twenty years of experience in the energy and sustainability industry. He has served in executive roles at a multi-national ESCO, an electrical and water contracting company, and one of the nation’s largest electrical utility companies. As the Head of a National Energy and Performance Services company headquartered in the Chicago area, the team fully expanded into the MUSH and C&I markets while maintaining industry-leading year-over-year growth under his leadership. Wes holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on finance from Illinois State University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Purdue University. Additionally, he is the Board Chair of the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO.org) and a former Board Member of the Alliance to Save Energy (ase.org). 

Chief Financial Officer

Patrick Meier

As a financial leader, Patrick’s responsibilities include the development of accounting practices, policies, and controls, including oversight of the ERP systems and the management of strategic revenue, P&L, and cash forecasts. Patrick is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) with an MBA from the University of Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York.

Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Vincent Esparza

After more than 20 years with Fortune 100 companies, Vince brings extensive business development, management, M&A, and communications experience to Veregy. He is responsible for leading Veregy’s nationwide team of marketing professionals in the planning, development, and execution of the organization’s comprehensive marketing and communication strategies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management from American University and pursuing his Executive MBA at the joint global program with Brown University and IE University of Spain. 

Vice President of Human Resources

Elise Crowder, SHRM-CP, PHR

Elise has over 30-years of responsible and progressive experience in Human Resources in technology and real-estate development. As Vice President of Human Resources, Elise supports over 500 employees across the United States in all Human Resource disciplines. Elise holds an Organizational Leadership and Supervision degree from Purdue University.

Vice President of Technology

Brad Turnwald, CEM

Brad is responsible for the development and implementation of Veregy’s building technology solutions and Digital Services. He also serves as an energy project manager and controls engineer. He is proficient in Building Automation System control and implementation, life cycle cost analyses, full building energy modeling, and conformance to national energy codes that focus on creating high-performance buildings. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton and holds the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential.

Vice President of National Operations

Jonathan Woods

Jonathan is Veregy’s Vice President of National Operations. His focus is to mitigate risk, assist in the integration of new acquisitions, and continue to work on building out our Centers of Excellence across the platform. He came to Veregy with nearly 30 years of industry experience. He spent over 20 years at a National ESCO, where in his most recent role, he was the National Operations Manager supporting their Energy Service Company (ESCO) business.

Vice President of Central Region

Al Willis

Al is the Vice President of Veregy’s Central region. He manages all operations, engineering, and P&L for this region, ensuring our projects meet our client’s goals, optimized energy, and long-term customer value. After graduating with a bachelor’s from Pittsburgh State University, Al has served as a well-respected and accomplished leader in various management roles within the industry.

Vice President of East Region

Garry Montgomery, PE, LEED AP, RCDD

Garry brings more than 25 years of experience in the industry, focusing on energy solutions, electrical and technology engineering, business development and client relations. He leads the direction for Veregy, Eastern Region, guides innovative energy solutions for clients, and provides technology systems leadership for key projects. He also has extensive experience in lighting systems, data, voice, video, security, and varied communication systems. He has led projects across a wide spectrum of market sectors from educational to healthcare, including large projects of more than 2 million square feet. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from Franklin University. 

Vice President of West Region

Clayton Boop

With several years of experience in the performance contracting industry, Clayton’s rich understanding of managing operational teams, strategic initiatives, technology, and finance positions him well as the Veregy Western Region Vice President. Clayton is a graduate of the University of Denver.

Vice President of Enterprise Sales Department

Bob Bennett

As a member of the Executive Team and now leader of the Enterprise Sales division, Bob helps to develop Veregy’s plans and programs to ensure sustainable growth through the core values of providing the highest quality solutions, satisfying and delighting customers, and caring about communities and the environment. Bob co-founded a former legacy brand of Veregy, Control Technology Solutions, spending his 32-year career working with public school districts, higher education, and state and local government clients throughout the Midwest. In his current leadership role within the Enterprise Sales division, he works with Commercial and Industrial, Manufacturing, and Healthcare clientele throughout the nation. He holds a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Kansas.
