The Annual Colorado Rural Schools Alliance “Redefining Rural Golf Tournament” included a day of beautiful scenery and the opportunity to support Colorado rural schools. This annual golf tournament has raised more than $80,000 for rural student scholarships since its inception in 2021.

About Colorado Rural School Alliance
The Colorado Rural Schools Alliance was formed in 2003 by rural superintendents and school board members committed to strengthening the rural voice at the Capitol. At the outset, the Alliance relied on CASB for operational and organizational support. In 2013, the Alliance Board established a separate non-profit organization and began its work towards developing a robust, multi-dimensional association to scale rural innovation and support rural schools, while also strengthening partnerships and doubling down on our advocacy for Colorado’s rural students and schools. The outing, sponsored by Veregy and various corporate vendors, in collaboration with the Colorado Rural School Alliance, took place on July 23 at Keystone Ranch Golf Course in Keystone, CO. It included breakfast, 18 holes of golf, and a reception to follow.

Veregy’s hole sponsorship included a fun game where golfers hit a chip shot into a cowboy hat. Players enjoyed taking their shot while they waited to tee off.

Thank you to the Colorado Rural School Alliance, golfers, sponsors, and involved in executing this event and raising funds to support rural schools in Colorado!

Following the tournament in conjuction with the Annual Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) Convention, Veregy took the lead in sponsoring a ‘Western’ themed event. Over 250 attendees gathered to enjoy the evening and learn more about our decarbonization and energy savings services. We look forward to our continued partnership with CASE in support of Colorado school executives.
