VEREGY PROJECTS
Brick Township

Brick Township Public Schools serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Brick Township, in Ocean County. JDC Energy Services, A Veregy Company, conducted energy audits of the school district’s facilities to evaluate and develop the energy conservation measures (ECMs) to be implemented to best serve the District’s goals of energy savings. The ESIP project delivered new LED lighting, upgraded automation, boiler replacement, plug load controls, combined heat and power, and solar, which consisted of rooftop installations at seven of their buildings and carports at Brick Township High School.
Casino RDA

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP) project will deliver significant savings for CRDA and enable the Atlantic City Convention Center (ACCC) to operate independently of its previously expensive thermal and electric power purchasing agreements. Prior to the ESIP, ACCC was purchasing Chilled Water and Hot Water from an off-site 3rd party and electricity from a roof-mounted solar array installed 20+ years ago. These contractual agreements became more expensive than buying electricity from Atlantic City Electric or producing their own Hot & Chilled Water on-site.
St. John’s Hospital

St. John’s Episcopal Hospital (SJEH) is a 257-bed teaching hospital serving a diverse and medically underserved population. In partnership with JDC Energy Services, A Veregy Company, and under the oversight of the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), SJEH launched a comprehensive Energy Performance Contract (EPC) to modernize its aging infrastructure and improve energy efficiency across its campus.
Jersey City Schools

Jersey City Public Schools (JCPS) selected JDC Energy Services, A Veregy Company, to develop and implement the largest Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP) Project in NJ State history. The total project value equals $120,126,248. The ESIP project will provide substantial sustainable improvements and most importantly enhance the learning environments for its students.
Catholic Health

JDC Energy Services, a Veregy company, in conjunction with Catholic Health engineering and facilities staff developed an Energy Master Plan (EMP) for Catholic Health. The EMP was designed to address any issues related to single point of failure, energy efficiency, operations and an aging infrastructure while exploring alternative cost avoidance solutions that would have the least impact on the budgets of the individual hospitals. JDC and Catholic Health continue their partnership and are implementing the EMP with planned, annual projects.
Gloucester School District

The Gloucester City School District selected JDC, a Veregy company, as its partner in its Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP) project to assist them in leading the series of transformative energy conservation measures aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability across its buildings. One of the most impactful initiatives has been the upgrade to LED lighting throughout the district, which, along with advanced lighting controls, will not only improve lighting quality but also significantly reduce energy consumption and operational costs..
NJDOT Ewing Headquarters

The key aspect of the project was the decentralization of a central steam plant that was well past its useful life. JDC, a Veregy company, installed high-efficiency condensing boilers in each building, thereby eliminating the high maintenance costs associated with the aging central plant and infrastructure. One challenge was the project needed to bring the ventilation systems in the garages up to the current code. The addition of local control to the infrared heaters in the high bay garages helped improve occupant comfort.
Willingboro Township

Willingboro Township Public Schools, in partnership with JDC Energy Services, a Veregy company, is implementing a $17 million Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP) to improve efficiency and sustainability across all district facilities. Upgrades include energy-efficient LED lighting with advanced controls in every school, a districtwide Energy Management System (EMS) for real-time monitoring and optimization, and additional measures such as pipe and valve insulation, building envelope weatherization, and window film to reduce energy loss and improve HVAC efficiency.
