Evansville Solar Installation

The Veregy Midwest team recently completed another solar installation – this time in southern Indiana at Evansville Regional Airport. This project is the first of its kind in Indiana – the first solar-covered parking canopies installed at an airport and the second-largest airport solar canopy installation in the United States. The 3,768 panels generate 1.3 megawatts of power while covering nearly 400 parking spaces and providing weather protection for airport customer and rental vehicles. This solar installation will provide more than 50% of the terminal’s power.

On October 13th, Evansville Regional Airport hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony where Kurt Schneider spoke on behalf of Veregy. “We’re very proud to be part of this great project. It’s really neat. The most important piece I want to recognize is that we touched other communities long term by being an example,” Schneider said.
