Veregy is proud to announce that our work with the St. Louis Public Library has been recognized as a Champion Award recipient in the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Green Business Challenge, a regional program now in its 10th year that supports sustainability leadership across the business, government, education, and nonprofit sectors.
The St. Louis Project was recognized for the award as a champion innovation project, a category which shows exemplary performance of an internal operational improvement that is client or public facing.
This project award exemplifies how collaborative partnerships and innovative energy solutions can drive measurable environmental results while supporting public-facing institutions. The St. Louis Public Library improvements include rooftop solar installations across three branch locations, energy-efficient HVAC/mechanical upgrades, advanced building automation systems, and a future-ready geothermal system. All of which results in an estimated 817,734 pounds of CO₂ savings annually for the library system.
Equally important, the project integrates educational solar monitoring displays, allowing library visitors of all ages to engage with real-time renewable energy data and learn more about sustainability in action.
The Green Business Challenge Champion designation highlights organizations delivering exemplary performance through innovation and leadership, and this recognition reinforces Veregy’s commitment to helping communities modernize infrastructure responsibly, efficiently, and sustainably.
