Our Commitment to Community Engagement: Aviation Education

LaPorte Airport Float

Corey Harper, Veregy’s Aviation Business Development Manager, recently played a pivotal role in two summer outreach activities designed to inspire and educate young minds about the wonders of aviation. These efforts highlight Veregy’s dedication to its aviation clients and underscore the company’s broader commitment to community involvement.

The first event occurred at the Springfield Airport Kidzeum Open House, where Corey engaged with local families and introduced children to the exciting world of aviation. The Kidzeum, known for its interactive exhibits, provided an ideal setting for Corey to connect with the community and share insights into aviation’s role in our daily lives.

In another significant outreach, Corey participated in the LaPorte, IN Airport Aviation Summer Camp on June 10, 2024. This camp is designed to introduce youth to various aspects of aviation. Corey contributed hands-on expertise by helping students build a solar-powered float, an activity that combined principles of renewable energy with practical aviation skills. This project captured the students’ imagination and emphasized the importance of sustainability in the future of aviation.

LaPorte Thank You

These initiatives align perfectly with Veregy’s mission to engage with and support the communities where they operate. By fostering a passion for aviation among the next generation, Corey and Veregy ensure that the industry continues to thrive with well-informed, enthusiastic future professionals. This outreach reflects Veregy’s commitment to education, sustainability, and community partnership, making a positive impact far beyond their business operations.
