AEE Recognizes Veregy Project with Annual Award

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) has honored Veregy’s MSD of Wayne Township Guaranteed Energy Savings Project with the Institutional Energy Management Award for the Midwest Region. This award, given annually through AEE, is “presented to a public sector institution, agency, or organization such as City, County, State, or Federal; a University or K-12 (kindergarten through 12th grade, either public or private), etc. for outstanding accomplishments in developing, organizing, managing and implementing its comprehensive energy management program, and for superior service to the Association.”

MSD Wayne is one of the largest K-12 districts in Central Indiana and partnered with Veregy to implement a district-wide energy master plan – complete with over 15 different energy solutions. Some of the energy conservation measures (ECMs) installed in this project include: solar energy, live energy monitoring, HVAC upgrades, battery storage, and LED stadium lighting.

This project is just a step in MSD Wayne’s plan to decarbonize their district with Veregy. Additional energy efficiency projects are on the horizon, including a new transportation center for an EV bus fleet with solar bus canopies and EV charging infrastructure.
